Presenting..."A Christmas Carol"

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, will be performed THIS Friday & Saturday night (Dec.4th & 5th) at 7:30 pm in the DHS Auditorium. 
 
Everyone will want to come celebrate this most wonderful time of the year as DeKalb students bring the story of "A Christmas Carol" to life on the DeKalb High School stage.  Come see Ebeneezer Scrooge, the miserly man whose life is forever changed by the visit of three mysterious Spirits.  Bob Cratchit, his mild and kind hearted clerk.  Tiny Tim, Cratchit's poor, sickly young son.  Jacob Marley, Scrooges long dead business partner and all the other wonderful characters that will be taking the stage this weekend. 

Tickets are on sale now in the DHS Main Office and Music Office.  Tickets are just $7.00 per Adult and only $5.00 for Students and Senior Citizens.   
**Tickets can also be purchased at the door, starting one hour before each performance.

Don't miss "A Christmas Carol" THIS Friday and Saturday night in the DHS Auditorium. The curtain rises at 7:30 pm, don't miss it.

Salvation Army Kettle Drive!

Starting on November 27 through December 11th, DHS is hosting a Salvation Army Kettle Drive. DHS Student Government would like to request the help of DeKalb Central families to raise money to help those in need in our community.


The kettle drive will take place during school hours for student donations. The kettle will also be available at the November 28th and December 11th home basketball games for parents and community member donations.


Come out to DHS and support your Barons and the Salvation Army!


District eLearning Plan - Parent Letter!

Demographic Research Study!

The DeKalb Co. Central United School Board of Education commissioned Jerome McKibben with McKibben Demographic Research to conduct an updated demographic study of our school district.  Mr. McKibben's last study of the district was finalized in November of 2011.  The purpose of the study is to provide insight for future planning for the district.

Important ISTEP+ Spring 2015 Rescore Information

Good afternoon -- 

In our continued effort to support the field, the following guidance was sent to Corporation Testing Coordinators this morning.  Please share it with educators and families to facilitate a smooth ISTEP+ rescore process.
  • If parents misplace the Invitation Code...
    • As indicated on the Invitation Code Letter, parents and guardians may seek technical assistance with the Parent Network site by calling 800-481-4769or via email at support@ctb.com
  • If parents have forgotten their login Username or Password...
    • The fastest way for parents to obtain assistance is by clicking on the "Forgot Username?" or "Forgot Password?" areas on the Parent Network homepage.
  • If parents do not have computer access...
    • Schools can invite parents to come to the school and use a computer there, or at a public library.
  • If parents' first language is one other than English.
    • The Invitation Code is in both English and Spanish, and the rescore-related computer screens are in English.  Schools are encouraged to invite parents to come to the school to use a computer and receive assistance, if needed, particularly if the parents do not speak English.
