Indiana Department of Education | Imagining the possibilities. Making them happen
Back to School Message for Educators
August 13, 2015
As we start a new school year, I want to share two important video messages with you.  The first is a message specifically for you, the educators and school employees, in which I share important information regarding the upcoming school year.  The second is a video message for parents and guardians; please share it with them in your school and classrooms communications.
You may have heard that the Indiana Department of Education has partnered with AT&T and N2N Services to develop a mobile application, INschool!

INschool offers a revolutionary way to communicate, share education related information, data, and learning opportunities with parents, educators, and those interested in student learning and parent engagement. The app is available to all Hoosiers at no cost in both IOS and Android app stores.

You can learn more about INschool here!

Additional message for high school educators: The Indiana Department of Education is now accepting applications from high school juniors to join Superintendent Ritz's Student Advisory Council .  The Student Advisory Council meets twice a year with Superintendent Glenda Ritz to discuss education policy in K-12 schools and offer their unique student perspective on current education issues.  Each Indiana congressional district is allotted one representative; another student serves as an at-large representative for all schools in the state.  We are currently accepting applications from students in Congressional Districts 3, 4, 8 and 9.  The application is open until September 4, 2015.
