IHCDA and Ball State University are launching a second year of My Community, My Vision, a program that engages groups of high school students in planning for the future of their rural communities.

This is a wonderful opportunity for counties and towns across Indiana deal with “Brain Drain”—where young, talented individuals leave their rural communities and don’t return.

Winning teams receive $500 and will work with Ball State University to create a “community vision plan” for their hometowns in the hopes that they will choose to live there after finishing college.

More information about the program can be found here and here.  Applications are due on September 11th, 2015.
