National Principals Month

The DeKalb County Central United School District is recognizing its six school principals during National Principals Month. From left are principals Steve Teders of James R. Watson Elementary School, Caleb Miner of Country Meadow Elementary School, Kimberly Fifer of DeKalb Middle School, Kyle Kirby of DeKalb High School, Nicole Veit of Waterloo Elementary School and Julia Tipton of McKenney-Harrison Elementary School.


WATERLOO — The DeKalb County Central United School District is recognizing its six school principals in conjunction with National Principals Month.

“We are fortunate to have a team of highly talented principals with outstanding character and stellar traits in leadership,” said Superintendent Sherry Grate. “Each of our principals works tirelessly and is fully committed to realizing our district’s vision: ‘DeKalb Central Schools will be Indiana’s highest performing school district.’”

Grate added, “This is also an appropriate time to celebrate how our principals, teachers, paraprofessionals and staff work in collaboration to support the district’s mission: ‘To develop socially responsible students who are literate, academically successful, engaged in all aspects of their education and prepared for success in the 21st century.’”

The six principals of DeKalb Central Schools are: Kyle Kirby, DeKalb High School; Kimberly Fifer, DeKalb Middle School, Caleb Miner, Country Meadow Elementary School; Nicole Veit, Waterloo Elementary School; Steve Teders, James R. Watson Elementary School; and Julia Tipton, McKenney-Harrison Elementary School.
