Annual Chromebook Protection Plan
I understand the plan’s $20 fee is intended to cover repair costs for unintentional damage and/or device replacement due to unintentional loss for this school year.
Without this plan, all repairs and device replacement costs will be immediately charged to the parent/guardian financially responsible for the student.
I understand and acknowledge the following:

This protection plan covers all repair costs on accidental damage, hardware malfunctions, as well as lost or stolen devices. The plan does not cover chargers, intentional damage, or damages done as a result of neglect or misconduct.

Coverage begins upon receipt of payment and this signed agreement.
- The device is covered until next year’s registration begins or a replacement device is provided. If a replacement device is given, then the parent/guardian will have an opportunity to purchase a protection plan for that device.

A replacement device will be provided if the repair fees are greater than the purchase price of a new device. The parent/guardian will have an opportunity to purchase a protection plan for the replacement device.

Since this is an optional program, the $20 fee is not discounted for students that qualify for the free and/or reduced lunch program.

If a student has had 2 full replacements within one school year, parents will only be offered a high-risk protection plan. With a high-risk plan there is a 50% deductible on all repairs.

The Chromebook, like a textbook or other property of the School District is expected to be cared for and returned in working order absent normal wear and tear.
