NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to Indiana Code 20-26-7-37, the Board of School Trustees of DeKalb County Central United School District gives notice that on September 17, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., they will meet in public session at 3326 County Road 427, Waterloo, Indiana, to discuss and hear support and objections regarding the proposed renovations at James R. Watson Elementary, including cafeteria expansion, courtyard renovation, and other renovations. You are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing. DeKalb County Central United School District Plans Non-Public Schools Meeting! Information Will Be for Parents of Special Needs Children. Waterloo, Indiana - DeKalb County Central United School District will hold an informational meeting for parents of children with special needs who reside within the DeKalb County Central United School District attendance area and are homeschooled or attend a non-public school. The meeting will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the School District Office. Portrait of a Baron Graduate!

DeKalb Central is leading the way in making 21st century learning a reality for all students. Join us in developing a Portrait of a Baron Graduate, a collective vision that articulates the community’s aspirations for all of its students. ng a Portrait of a Baron Graduate, a collective vision that articulates the community’s aspirations for all of its students. The Portrait Design Team will meet four times to design our Portrait of a Baron Graduate at McKenney-Harrison Elementary School on the following dates:  Meeting 1: Thursday, September 19 from 6–8:30 p.m.  Meeting 2: Monday, October 21 from 6–8:30 p.m.  Meeting 3: Monday, November 11 from 6–8:30 p.m.  Meeting 4: Wednesday, December 18 from 6–8:30 p.m. Interested community members should email Mr. Teders at steders@dekalbcentral.net to join the design team! Space is limited!
