Good evening Bulldog families!
We are happy to share that the weather cooperated and allowed us to enjoy a full week of school! To top it off, we were blessed with a beautiful, warm, and sunny Friday for our VIP Dance. Thank you to all of our families who attended and helped make the evening so special. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and great memories being made together.
Congratulations to this week’s Portrait of a Baron Students of the Week for demonstrating the skill of Collaboration! At McKenney-Harrison, collaboration means working together respectfully, listening to understand, sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and contributing positively to a group’s success. Our students show collaboration when they are thoughtful teammates in the classroom, supportive friends on the playground, and dependable partners in projects and activities. We are proud to recognize this week’s winners: Amelia Mann, Judy Lewis, Annalise Williams, Grace Byler, Adam Matthews, Oliver Gorney, Alexis Suttle, and Zoey Every. Thank you for modeling what it means to work together and lift others up!
Welcome to the month of March! March officially kicks off our spring testing window. IREAD-3 testing begins this week for all second grade students and select third graders. Testing will begin on Tuesday and continue until all students have had the opportunity to complete their assessments. We appreciate your support in ensuring students are well-rested and ready to do their best.
On Wednesday, Student Council will be selling cookies before school from 8:25–8:50 a.m. by the gym. Also on Wednesday, STEAM Team, and Student Council will all meet after school until 3:25 p.m.
Looking ahead, our Book Fair will begin on Saturday the 7th, with family shopping opening at 9:00 a.m and will close at 11:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
It’s hard to believe, but just three full weeks of school remain until Spring Break. Let’s make the most of every day as we head into this busy and exciting month!
