Welcome to the DeKalb Central Family!
We are delighted to have you join our team and hope you are just as excited to become part of DeKalb County Central Schools.
As we begin your onboarding process, there are a few important housekeeping items to complete:
1. Employee Background Check
As a coach with DeKalb Central Schools, you are required to complete an Employee Background Check.
● Once you’ve submitted your background check, you will receive two emails from KidTraks as part of the process. Please watch for these emails and complete all requested information promptly.
● Employee Background Checks are valid for five years as long as your employment with the district remains continuous. If you leave the district and more than one year has passed, you will be required to complete a new employee background check.
● Per DeKalb Central School Board policy, if any incident involving criminal history occurs, it is the coach’s responsibility to notify the school district. The coach’s status will then be reviewed. The district also reserves the right to review a coach’s status at any time if such information is reported.
2. Coach’s Packet
Please complete the Coach’s Packet, which can be picked up from your school.
When your packet is complete, contact Tamara Sells at 260-920-1011 ext. 1066 to schedule a time to drop it off.
IF YOU ARE A PAID COACH:
Be sure to bring two forms of identification (Driver’s License, Social Security Card, or Birth Certificate).
If you have a Passport, it can serve as both forms of ID.
3. ID Badge Photo
We’ll need a headshot to create your staff badge. You can either:
● Email your photo to tsells@dekalbcentral.net, or
● Have your photo taken when you drop off your packet.
