Good evening Bulldog families!
We had a great first week back at McKenney-Harrison! Our students were excited to return, settled back into their routines with ease, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces filling our hallways once again.
This week, we introduced our new Portrait of a Baron skill-Integrity. Students have begun learning what it means to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Our next group of Portrait of a Baron Students of the Week will be announced to the school on Monday, with photos shared out on Friday.
As we move further into our winter activities, we have a busy week ahead. On Monday, there will be a Science Fair meeting after school until 3:25, as well as a Tech Team meeting after school until 3:25. On Tuesday, students involved in Circle the State With Song will practice after school until 3:25, and Robotics will also meet until 3:25. On Wednesday, the Tech Team will meet again after school until 3:25, and we will host a PTO meeting at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. On Friday, our 2nd grade students will visit Science Central for an exciting hands-on learning experience.
On a district-wide note, DeKalb Central Schools is excited to announce that Preschool Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year is now open! Give your child a strong start in a caring, engaging learning environment.
Looking ahead, please note that there will be no school on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Thank you for your continued support as we move forward together.
