Career and Technical Education:

 

  • Preparing for College and Careers - One Sem. (DHS Credit Course) - 86 students enrolled (8th grade only)
  • Introduction to Entrepreneurship - One Sem. (DHS Credit Course) - 42 students enrolled (8th grade only)
  • Computer Science Discoveries - One semester each - 83 students enrolled (8th grade only)

  • Spanish - Students can take three years of Spanish at DMS including Spanish I for DHS credit. - 75 Spanish I students enrolled (Full year course);  65 7th grade students enrolled in a one-semester course; 86 6th-grade students enrolled in a one-semester course.

DMS Summary:

In total, three Career and Technical Education courses are offered to 8th-grade students with a total of 211 enrolled and 128 with an opportunity to earn high school credit and valuable career skills.

In total, six Vocational courses are offered with a total of 742 middle school students representing grades 6-8 and earning high school credit for Spanish and valuable skills for life.
